Musician Haruka Nakamura is in charge of the in-store music for several Tsutaya Bookstores across Japan from 2023 to 2024. All the tracks are original compositions created specifically for this Tsutaya project. With the bookstore's concept centered around books and the theme of 'forests'-the origin of instruments like pianos and guitars-Nakamura has crafted four albums under the title 'Aoi Mori,' inspired by his hometown of Aomori, to be released through autumn 2024. The final album features recordings using his father's acoustic guitar, which he has played since his teens, and a classical guitar gifted to him by Nujabes and Hydeout Productions during the making of his album 'MELODICA. ' These are blended with the synthesizers introduced in the 'Aoi Mori' series, creating a sound that subtly recalls his earlier works like 'Grace' and 'nica,' evoking a nostalgic atmosphere from before he fully embraced the piano. The cover photo by Rinko Kawauchi beautifully captures the warmth of sunlight in a garden, conveying the hopeful and blissful feeling fitting for the final installment. The 'Aoi Mori' series is also being released as beautifully designed CD albums, with a unified, conceptual aesthetic that makes them perfect for display in any room. LISTEN: https://youtu.
