U2, the biggest name in rock music is back with their highly anticipated 14th studio album Songs of Experience. Neil Young reteams with Promise of the Real for a new album titled The Visitor, their second studio LP together following 2015's The Monsanto Years. From 'Time Fades Away II' to 'Homegrown' and Crazy Horse's killer 2003 Bonnaroo set, a look at the best of Young's overflowing vault the album, due out December 1st, comes just three months after Young released Hitchhiker, his long-lost LP of acoustic songs recorded over one night in August 1976. Young and Promise of the Real also shared the album's first single "Already Great," a rumbling, tongue-in-cheek response to Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan. The singer previously denied Trump's use of "Rockin' in the Free World" during the 2016 presidential campaign and roared "Fuck you, Donald Trump" onstage during a June 2016 concert. "You're already great / You're the promised land / You're the helping hand," Young sings to the U.S. on the chorus. The track ends with a repeated chant of "Whose streets? Our streets!," a popular rallying cry at recent protests.
Chris Stapleton’s From A Room: Volume 2 will be released December 1 on Mercury Records Nashville. The multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM Award-winning musician first shared the album news from stage during the first of two sold-out shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena this past Friday. Of the special hometown concerts, CMT praises, “…cemented his status as one of music’s greatest talents to emerge from the current decade.”
The forthcoming album takes its name from Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A (the capital “A” in “From A Room”) where it was recorded over the last year with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb. Along with Stapleton on vocals and guitar and Cobb on acoustic guitar, the album features Morgane Stapleton on harmony vocals as well as longtime band-members J.T. Cure on bass and Derek Mixon on drums. In addition to seven songs co-written by Stapleton, the album features versions of Kevin Welch’s “Millionaire” and the Homer Banks/Lester Snell-penned song made famous by Pops Staples, “Friendship”.
Volume 2 follows the release of From A Room: Volume 1, which debuted earlier this year at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and, with its RIAA Gold certification, remains the #1 best-selling country album of 2017. Stapleton’s 2015 double-platinum solo debut, Traveller, is currently the #2 best-selling country album of the year.
Across Versatile's sixteen tracks, Van Morrison interprets some of the very building blocks of modern music in his own utterly unique style. As well as songs originally made famous by the likes of Chet Baker, Sinatra, the Righteous Brothers, Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole, Versatile features six stunning new Van compositions, including Broken Record a timeless piece of late-night swing.
Penning seven of the 10 tracks, Bradbery embarked on a four-year songwriting journey in preparation of I DON’T BELIEVE WE’VE MET, alongside ACM Awards Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett as well as GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter Emily Weisband and GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter Jeff Pardo to create songs that were an honest reflection of her story. Chart-topping songwriters Rhett Akins (Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean) and Nicolle Galyon (Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert) also penned tunes on the project.
Co-producers Josh Kerr, Afterhrs (One Direction), Alysa Vanderheym, Jason Gantt (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Brooks & Dunn), Julian Bunetta (One Direction, Thomas Rhett) and Sam Ellis (Marina McBride, Hunter Hayes) all helped to fine-tune the “fresh new sound” (Rolling Stone Country) of the album.“I am more than ready to re-introduce myself with music that is true to my story and my sound after diving into the writing process over the past four years,” said Bradbery. “With I DON'T BELIEVE WE'VE MET, I got the opportunity to work with amazing writers and producers that brought out my unique style and allowed me to tap into so many different influences. This is the beginning of a new chapter for me, and I am so excited for everyone to hear what we've made."
On Air is a collection of rarely heard radio recordings from the Stones formative years. The songs including 8 tracks the band have never recorded or released commercially, were originally broadcast on UK shows such as Saturday Club, and Top Gear between 1963 and 1965. The tapes have gone through the “audio source separation” process, making tracks like Come On, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, and many more sound better than before. The vinyl release features 32 classic tracks on two 180G LP’s!
After 40 years as one-third of the creative core of the B-52s, Cindy Wilson steps out with her own solo album, Change. A collaboration between Wilson and friends and Athens musicians Ryan Monahan, Lemuel Hayes, Suny Lyons, and Marie Davon, Change marks a significant departure from Wilsons other band. With echoes of Air, Bjork, Tame Impala, and Gary Numan, the band refers to its infections brand of new-wave electro-pop as Turbo Chill. Rather than shouting in a rock voice, on Change Wilson gets to experiment with more emotional, subtle vocalizations, crooning and whispering over swirls of subtle psychedelia, Quincy Jones-era strings, and pulsing synths.
Featuring old friends and FTD regulars Big Body Bes and Mayhem Lauren along with Rick Ross and others (more to be announced soon) Bronsolino is getting back to basics with the style of Queens rap that brought him to the forefront of hip-hop 5 years ago. In that vein Bronson worked with some of his most frequent and trusted producers for the project in Alchemist, Harry Fraud and of course no Blue Chips project would be complete without the talents of BC OG Party Supplies.

Vault is a collection of rare, previously unreleased songs that up until now have never been heard by anyone except STRFKR. The band only exists today because of these recordings. Some of these songs were written for STRFKR albums, some were written before or in-between, but they all played a role and influenced what was released under that name.

Morbid Angel, the true forefathers of death metal music, triumphantly return with their 9th studio album Kingdoms Disdained, to be released on Silver Linings Music. Kingdoms Disdained finds legendary guitarist and founder Trey Azagthoth reigniting his creative alchemy with vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker to create a crushingly heavy and highly apocalyptic soundtrack for these increasingly dark times. Relentless and unrepentant Kingdoms Disdained abounds with sheer, brutal power, complex changes and a gloriously violent death metal underpinning, an album designed to confront fans and non-believers alike, with Tucker’s lyrics destined to spark deep conversation on several angles of mysticism and darkness. “Garden of Disdain” proclaims ’this world of useless being, this endless festering’ as the unceasing riff's weight further augments the song’s meaning, while the barbaric barrage of “Architect and Iconoclast” roars ‘I am all prophecies fulfilled, yet you refuse to see this.' Azagthoth produces some of his finest work yet, his demonically-heavy riffs and lead work finding a powerful delivery vehicle via the strength of Scotty Fuller’s insane percussion and Tucker’s relentless vocal savagery. The supreme solo during “The Righteous Voice” underscores Azagthoth’s unique creative arrangements, and in “For No Master”, Azagthoth illustrates that no guitarist in the genre orchestrates, and translates, dark chaos so masterfully. Wrapped in a thick wall of death metal sound, Kingdoms Disdained was recorded at Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, FL and produced by Morbid Angel with Erik Rutan (produced albums by Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, Six Feet Under, Belphegor and many more). It will unequivocally and unapologetically reset the bar for dynamic death metal music, and only the scared, the meek or the ignorant would wilfully deny themselves a taste of Kingdoms Disdained.
The new DELUXE EDITION offers up eight unreleased bonus tracks that feature an early version of “Outtasite (Outta Mind)” and “When You Find Trouble,” which is the last studio recording made by Uncle Tupelo. In the album’s liner note, Stirratt writes “Listening back to records 15 to 20 years later, I’m always taken with the confident but guileless quality of bands in their 20s, that strange mixture of innocence and conviction, and this is one of those records—we were barely a band at that point, just trying to make some noise.”
The DELUXE EDITION builds on the original with 15 bonus tracks released for the first time, including alternate versions of tracks “I Got You” and “Say You Miss Me.” Also included are four songs the band played on radio station KCRW on November 13, 1996. As a touring band, many of these songs can be found on Wilco’s current set-list as notable fan favorites that have evolved over the years.

Arkansas-reared, avant-roots/RnR raconteur Tav Falco is set to make the holidays merry with his first collection of Christmas standards, A Tav Falco Christmas. A fixture on the international music scene since 1981, Falco has been described by The New York Times as “A singer, guitarist and researcher of musical arcana who hasn’t let his increasingly technical expertise and idiomatic mastery compromise the clarity of his vision.” At the start of a scorching hot July in Memphis this year, Falco and his distinguished group of American/Euro vagabonds ensconced themselves at Sam Phillips Recording Service studios in Memphis. The lineup includes bassist Mike Watt (Minutemen, the Stooges), guitarist Mario Monterosso, and drummer Toby Dammit (currently the touring keyboardist in Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds).
Dexter Gordon recorded dozens of albums and played hundreds of live shows, but none better than what’s captured on this 1967 date at Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen. The hard-bop saxophonist blows nothing less than a 28-chorus solo without referencing one standard tune on an epic 12-bar rendition of “Sonnymoon for Two” and, for good measure, sails through an extended, calypso-themed version of Ben Tucker’s “Devilette.” Want sentimentality? No problem. Get lost on “Misty,” on which pianist Kenny Drew and drummer Al Heath add their own signature strokes. What a set!
Both Sides of Midnight marks Gordon’s peak live recorded document and a can’t-miss opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to get closer to the man and his music.
This Indie Exclusive edition comes on translucent green vinyl and is limited to just 300 copies.

Vinyl LP pressing. 2017 release. Brix & the Extricated release their highly anticipated debut album following on from the early summer release of debut single 'Damned For Eternity'. Formed by the visionary Brix Smith Start (vocals / guitar) and legendary bass player Stephen Hanley, Brix & the Extricated also features Paul Hanley on drums, which reignites the Hanley Brother powerhouse rhythm section. The addition of Steve Trafford on guitar has brought together these influential, former members of The Fall. Completing the line-up is hugely talented Irish guitarist Jason Brown. Increasing pressure from old and new fans alike to record fresh material spurred Brix & the Extricated to headed into the studio, where they laid down 10 tracks. As anyone who has read Brix's book The Rise, The Fall & The Rise will know, Brix is a warrior woman one moment, and the next she's stripping off her armour and laying bare her open wounds for all to see and this is precisely what she's done on the resulting album. Brix vehemently spits out her lyrics over savage sliding power chords over the distinctive Hanley brothers rhythm section.
The English trio The Staves and NYC-based ensemble yMusic join forces for The Way Is Read, a twelve-song album stemming from their 2016 collaboration at Justin Vernon's Eaux Claires Festival. "We wanted to feel like instruments and join in with some of yMusic's existing work," says Emily Staveley-Taylor, "using our voices in ways we hadn't previously explored." Rob Moose of yMusic adds: "It was as much a thrill to hear songs emerge organically over sections of intricate chamber music as it was satisfying to strip songs of the instrument that created them in order to craft new connective tissue."
2017 release from the singer/songwriter. Includes "Smoke Clears" and "Give Love" (featuring LunchMoney Lewis. 2017 release. Porn are back with their third album The Ogre Inside. After the release of their second album in 2011, a remixes and cover album in 2015, the French gothic metal / industrial rock band returns. Six years have passed since the release of the previous album, but Philippe Deschemin, the leader of the controversial combo, did not just sit around. He published a SyFy novel Contoyen (including the concept of The Ogre Inside), two short-stories, has released an album with his gothic-rock-indus-metal side project An Erotic End Of Times this very year, and now Porn is ready to rock on again. From the '90s industrial rock sound of "Sunset Of Cruelty" to the gothic metal atmosphere of "The Ogre Inside" or "You Will Be The Death Of Me", this album takes you on an inner journey to the darkest corners of your mind. Porn invites you to fight the beast, your very own monster, the Ogre that will devour you. Enjoy Porn, facing your most wicked desires. The album is scattered with voice samples of Aleister Crowley, The Great Beast. The band is turning his words "love is the law, love under will" into Porn is the law, Porn under will.
There is no end to composer Peter Brodericks creative output, and so we present to you his new album titled All Together Again. They say music takes you on a journey, and this collection of commissioned work by Peter quite literally does that. From a ferry boat ride in Istanbul, to walking down the aisle at a wedding, these songs were created for particular situations, yet Peter found a way to work without any sort of limitations and on his own terms. The result is an assortment of works from the past ten years, coming together as one. The cover art was made by Peter himself in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, by cutting and sticking different colored paper fragments to depict the individuality of each track.

Saxon, over the decades have gone from being pioneers of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, to becoming one of the most successful UK rock acts of all time. The truth, though, is that Saxon have always transcended trends and eras. From 1979's 'Saxon' album to 'Destiny' in '88, the band enjoyed considerable success. Five Top 40 albums in the UK, with four Top 20 singles. And they were similarly successful in other parts of the world as well. It's no wonder their influence spread across the globe, and played a crucial role in the way we look at hard rock and heavy metal today. The decade from '79's debut record was vital, not only in establishing Saxon's talent and reputation, but also in laying the foundations for what has followed. Now, BMG are proud to release this deluxe anthology that looks back at the years which built the Saxon legend. Spanning their first nine albums ‘Decade Of The Eagle’ is the very best of the first decade of their astonishing career. This anthology represents the sweep and scope of what Saxon have achieved. They were certainly a core part of the whole NWOBHM movement, perhaps the greatest metal genre of them all, but moved beyond this to become one of the all-time masters of heavy metal. But in doing so, Saxon have also ensured they are now representative of the heart and soul from the NWOBHM time. They have done this by remaining true to the values which established them in the first place. Driven by a desire to continuously set the highest standards and meet them head on, Saxon's work on those nine studio albums still resonates resoundingly. From 'Rainbow Theme', the opening track on that debut, to 'Red Alert', the closing song on 'Destiny', this is timeless stuff. Music that will continue to inspire metalheads for generations to come, as it has influenced so may up until now. In those immortal words, fill your heads with... HEAVY METAL THUNDER!
